Made in Sheffield’ is one of the world’s great brands, made famous internationally as a mark of origin and quality on the city region’s manufactured products.
This Made in Sheffield Dinner is a celebration of the unique cluster of design, research and manufacturing industries which exists here in the region today and which gives the Sheffield City Region such great potential as a global manufacturing base. Exporting, quality products and innovation are part of Sheffield’s DNA which, teamed with other exciting sectors such as sport, health, cultural and digital, also makes the city region a great place to do business.
The Dinner is a key part of the Global Manufacturing Festival bringing together local and International manufacturers in a distinctly manufacturers only event and with high quality speakers such as The Deputy Prime Minister and the CEO of Tata Steel Europe in previous years. The fact that this is an international festival highlights Sheffield City Region’s position as a leader on the national, European and world stage.
So the Awards Dinner is an opportunity to highlight the world class manufacturing companies across the Sheffield City Region that carry the flag for local manufacturing, use the Made in Sheffield Mark and whose high quality products continue our reputation for quality and innovation into the 21st Century. The Awards will be judged by a panel of Manufacturers and represent regional recognition for all that “Made in Sheffield” embodies.
